# Heat Exhaustion
- Excessive loss of water and salt, usually from extreme sweating
## Symptoms
- Cool, pale, moist skin
- Heavy sweating and high body temperature
- Headache
- Nausea
- Dizziness
- Weakness/exhaustion
- Irritability
- Thirst

## Treatment
- Get medical attention or call 911 and stay with person until help arrives
- Move person away from hot area and give them cool water to drink *slowly* and frequently
- Remove unnecessary clothing, including shoes and socks
- Cool them with wet, cold cloths, and/or have them wash their head, face, and neck with cold water
